Sustainability

At Construnext we not only aspire to achieve the best sustainable results. We lead by example, we inspire our industry and collaborate with all of our clients to deliver the best results for all.

We know our actions drive real change. Our solid culture and track record of adopting sustainable goals and objectives in our projects prove we can reduce our environmental impact during construction and throughout the entire life cycle of a building.

Quality

Construnext is committed to using the highest quality materials in each one of its implementations, recommending the most appropriate ones for every requested work. Construnext holds the ISO 9001 Quality Management, the ISO 14001 Environmental Management, and the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety certifications.

Certifications

Construnext complies with the recommendations of all local, national, and European associations of architects, quantity surveyors and constructors. Likewise, Construnext is certified in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), Environmental Management (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health and Safety (ISO 45001).

Sustainability

Thanks to the new movements emerging to curb climate change, new construction techniques have started to be sought and discussed, like Green Retrofit, among others. What is it really? Green Retrofit is any refurbishment of an existing building that aims to reduce its carbon emissions and environmental impact. To do so, it focuses, among other things, on improving the energy efficiency of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and other mechanical systems, increasing the quality of building envelope insulation, and improving occupant comfort and health.

At Construnext, we are strongly committed to the environment and sustainable construction, raising awareness and directly involving our staff, suppliers and contractors, thus being able to execute the works based on the classification systems and main certificates of the market.

BREEAM

BREEAM focuses on assessing the impact of 10 categories (Management, Health and wellness, Energy, Transportation, Water, Materials, Waste, Ecological land use, Pollution and Innovation), providing a final score that serves as a benchmark towards more sustainable construction.

LEED

LEED certification seeks to evaluate the sutainability of buildings through a scoring system based on 5 categories: Sustainable Sites (SS), Water Efficiency (WE), Energy and Atmosphere (EA), Materials and Resources (MR) and Indoor environmental Quality (IEQ).
Buildings are certified according to the score obtained

  • Leed Certification: 40 – 49 points
  • Silver Certification: 50 – 59 points
  • Gold Certification: 60 – 79 points
  • Platinum Certification: 80 – 110 points

LEED certification significantly improves the building’s users’ quality of life, and is at the same time a powerful sustainability tool which helps to reduce CO2 emissions, energy and water consumption.

PASSIVHAUS

PASSIVHAUS certification seeks to reduce by 75% the heating and cooling needs of buildings by optimizing existing resources through passive techniques.

WELL

WELL certification focuses on making practical improvements in design and construction, based on medical and scientific research. It allows to identify, measure, verify and monitor the characteristics of built spaces that impact the health and well-being of its occupants.

The main design concepts to consider are:
Air, water, nourishment, thermal comfort, light, fitness, mind, movement and noise.
Depending on the improvements made, 3 levels of certification can be obtained:

  • Well Silver
  • Well Gold
  • Well Platinum

Well can be complemented with the LEED and BREEAM certificates, aligning to ensure that buildings preserve energy and resources for a more sustainable future.
